What it means

«Peligro por la proximidad de una sucesión de curvas peligrosas próximas entre sí, siendo la primera de ellas hacia la izquierda.» RD 465/2025, Annex I of the RGC (BOE-A-2025-12199), Spanish original.

It warns that several dangerous bends follow one another, the first to the left. Two linked strokes, not one: that is the clue that it is not an isolated bend.

Where you meet it

It is placed before the run of bends. The P-14 series has two letters, and each says which way the first bend goes: «a» to the right, «b» to the left.

What you must do

Moderate your speed from the start of the run, not only at the first bend. The triangle carries no number, but it does trigger the duty to moderate under article 46 (RGC arts. 144.1 and 46.1).

Details that count

A panel with a figure in metres under a triangle measures the distance still to go, not how long the hazard lasts. Yet the same panel and the same figure allow two readings, distance to the hazard or length of the hazard, and panels answer different questions: where the hazard starts, how long it lasts, whom it affects and which lane (RGC arts. 137.2 and 144.2). Under an information sign, by contrast, it usually gives the distance to the place indicated (RGC art. 137).

What it is confused with

It is confused with P-13b. In both, «b» means left, but P-13b announces a single bend and P-14b a succession of bends close together, hence the two linked strokes. On a bends sign the final letter is the direction of the first bend, not of all of them.
