What it means
«Peligro por la proximidad de una intersección en la que rige la regla general de prioridad de paso.» RD 465/2025, Annex I of the RGC (BOE-A-2025-12199), Spanish original.
This sign warns of a junction where no sign shares out the right of way: the general rule of priority applies there. As a warning triangle, it announces and does not regulate (RGC art. 144.1).
Where you meet it
It appears before the junction, like any warning sign. The official name says «from the right» because that is the rule that applies when there is no sign regulating the right of way (RGC art. 57.1).
What you must do
Approach at the moderate speed that article 46 demands and apply the general priority rule. Do not expect the sign to tell you who goes first: the triangle does not make that decision.
Details that count
The general rule is a fallback: it applies only where no sign regulates the right of way. If one does, such as a traffic light, article 57 does not apply (RGC arts. 56.3 and 57.1). And mind the give way sign: unlike that priority-to-the-right rule, it does not distinguish between right and left, because article 56.5 says «whichever side they approach from».
What it is confused with
The classic clash is with P-1. With P-1 the users of the other road must give way; with P-2 there is no signed priority road and the general rule governs, priority to the right, which is a fallback and only holds when no sign regulates it (RGC arts. 56.5 and 57.1). Each triangle asks something different of you on arrival.
